Passionate about restorations
Essex Oak Frame is the region’s leading specialist in the repair and restoration of historic and listed buildings
Essex Oak Frame is one of the UK’s most trusted oak conservation and restoration specialists. As certified English Heritage conservation specialists, we design, specify and complete conservation and renovation projects on some of the region’s most historic buildings.
The repair and restoration of historic timber frame buildings, particularly those that are listed, requires expertise in both the craft and the bureaucracy involved in such projects. Having worked on highly complex domestic and commercial projects across the East of England, Essex Oak Frame has experience in every aspect of the process from design and planning through to liaising with conservation officers with regards to project sign off.
Saving or preserving the frame of an at-risk building is a challenge we relish, and we undertake conservation work for a wide range of clients including local councils and government bodies. Our expertise is valued at every stage of the project, including carrying out conservation repair schedules and putting forward repair specifications and costings for buildings and structures at risk.
We are particularly proud to be recognised for our restoration work, as it is both our passion and pride to bring buildings back to life.
